The Captain looked at the documents, and sent them on to all the teams that would be searching on all the ships. Then the Captain decoded the password to be used on future messages, incoming and outgoing to ensure that the messages, were being sent to and received by the right people. Now let's see, the message says to take the third word from each paragraph. "O.K". Paragraph one = kind, second paragraph = no, third paragraph = attacked, fourth paragraph = results, fifth paragraph = forces. "OK", we have: kind, no, attacked, results, forces. Take the first letter of each word ( K-n-a-r-f ). All future messages will have all five of these letters as the third words of each paragraph: the letter "K" in the third word of paragraph one; letter "n" in paragraph two; letter "a" in paragraph three, letter "r" in paragraph four, and the letter " f " in paragraph five. Now that they have a password, the search started from every inch of the ship's outside. But nothing was found. They then started to search, the main part of the ship in cargo transport, the engine room, but they still found nothing. Then they moved the search to the cargo holds, and still nothing was found. Then they checked the living area of the ship, and still nothing was found. All teams began to scratch their heads. Everything matched the blueprint and diagrams. However, one curious member of the search team, got a small reading of chemical residue that was almost non-detectable, just a small jump on the needle. He checked the spot but found nothing there out of the ordinary. He went back to that spot to re-check again. He put the indicator box near the spot and got a residue reading again. The needle stayed at ( 10 ). He then asked the girl standing there, "What was here before this, a box, furniture, or something ?", The girl replied, "Only that trash can over there. We moved it over there". So he went to the trash can, and got the same reading of ( 10 ) only at the bottom of the trash can. So he called the Captain: "Sir, I've found something. I'm getting a reading at the bottom of a trash can. It could be in all movable items: chairs, trash cans, and all portables. I believe that these will decompose all at the same time, so every small item needs to be checked and disposed of, Over". The Captain answered: "Good work. That's a job well done. I'll inform the decontamination team to start the search, take everything out and move it to "Freedom Ship 4". There they'll make sure everything checks out "OK", and then they can be returned to "Settlement-One". Anything that doesn't checks out "OK", stays on "Freedom Ship 4", and then it can be disposed of into deep space, Over". So they started to do what the Captain said. They moved all portable items to "Freedom Ship 4", and after checking all the items it was found that ( 50% ) had chemical cylinders in all the hollow areas, with timers to release the gas in four more days. Each cylinder had enough toxic gas, to kill one million people ten times over. There were about a thousand cylinders, to make sure that no one survived. Now things were different as all the cylinders had been found, and moved to "Freedom Ship 4". The Captain instructed "Freedom Ship 4" to detach from "Settlement-One", and to rid itself of all the chemical cylinders, two sectors away, into a sun that doesn't show lifeforms in that solar system. Now the humans all learned in science class, that everything of a toxic nature, or chemical nature, or nuclear waste nature, or any dangerous substance, they would put it on a rocket stage, and shoot it to the sun. The sun is so hot it will vaporize anything to a safe level, where it won't harm anyone on the planet Tarth. As "Freedom Ship 4" left the mother ship, and set a course to the galaxy two sectors away, the ship was in an angle almost as if it were heading towards the new galaxy Earth. "The Freedom Ship 4" was now at full speed and on its way. No sooner had "Freedom Ship 4" reached full speed, when suddenly one of the cylinders released its gas, catching the crew completely by surprise and killing everyone on board. The cylinder must have been damaged during its handling. "Freedom Ship 4" went on for days at full speed, and then the "Zenitram Propulsion System" started to shut down, due to lack of adjustment which was needed for the cooling system. That is usually done separately, but since there was no one left alive to make the adjustment, the ship dropped to light speed, and it kept at that speed. Then all the other cylinders released their toxic gas, and the whole ship filled with a thick cloud of toxic gas. The timers went off at the time they were supposed to. However, it was the first cylinder that caught everyone by surprise, because they were not expecting the cylinder to go off, until they shot it to the Sun. "Freedom Ship 4", kept going at light speed for months and months, just drifting along. All this time, "Settlement-One" kept trying to make contact with "Freedom Ship 4", but it could not make contact with it, since "Freedom Ship 4" left almost ( 8 ) months ago. In Settlement One's log record, it was reported that "Freedom Ship 4" was lost. At this time "Settlement-One" was approaching the curved time Bouyee, so they dropped down to light speed, but it was still some distance away from the Bouyee, it was about two weeks away at light speed. They dropped down too soon, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

    Back on Earth, Captain "Zeus" and "Kappa man" landed by the marker, and they stepped out. "Kappa man" was given the moltebyte device, into his hands, and he was ready to plug it in, on the top floor of the marker. The Captain called for a meeting of all the people staying on "Earth". The Captain started to say, "People of Earth, the time has come for us to leave this planet. We are now going home to bring back supplies, equipment, and a colony of people to live here amongst you. You can go home with us or stay here on this planet if you wish, because this is your planet now. I wish you a safe stay, and for everyone to be here when I return. I want all of you to look up to space, and to watch for me to come back, and pick you up in two years. I mean all of you, and if you have little ones, like "Teresa" does, let them know to keep looking into the sky for us to come back for them. Teach them our ways and our laws. I'll miss each and every one of you for we have worked well on this journey. I feel more like your father than your captain, and you are my children, not my crew. I love you all very much. It's hard for me to leave you, but the sooner I leave the sooner I'll be back. That's all. Oh, by the way, if I do not come back myself, it's because they have given me another assignment. I'll make sure that my son comes back to "Earth". He works in the private sector for himself. Hope to see you soon". "Kappa man" came out of the marker and told the Captain "We're ready, Sir. The device is plugged in and operating at ( 100% ). We're good to Go". "Goodbye, all. Good luck, "Kappa man", the Captain answered. The landing craft took off from "Earth". They returned to the mother ship. As soon as they were on board, the Captain gave orders to leave "Earth", and to go visit Mars on "Colony-One", to engage the maneuvering engine and to set an orbiting course. They arrived at "Colony-One", and as the landing craft touched down, Mars was there to greet them. "Mars" said, "Welcome back to "Colony-One", "Sir". How was your trip, and how are "Earth", "Eve", "Kappa man", "Teresa" ?" The Captain said, "O.K, O.K", Slow down, slow down. We'll be here for about eight hours, and we can update you about "Earth", and what has been going on". Everyone went to the marker to eat and talk. One of the things the Captain talked about were the names for the colonies. One should be called "Mars", and to name the rest of the planets in this galaxy and solar system after their kind. To keep our laws, and culture alive, and to look to the sky for them to return. The speech was similar to that given on "Earth". He also told them that "Earth" has a landing craft, capable of going back, and forth from "Earth" to "Mars". And If something big were to happen, and if loaded correctly, the landing craft could take ( 15 ) people back out into deep space, but only in an emergency. The captain said his goodbye and took off. Landing on the mother ship, they then set a course back to the Bouyee. It took them two weeks to get there, and "Spider", the new navigator, said: "Captain, "Sir", according to our computer, the Bouyee should be directly ahead, but I'm picking it up two mikes on our right. The computer also shows space currents making it drift to the right. Should I put it back ?", The captain answered, "No, Leave it there just in case. What I do want you to do, is to maneuver us a little bit away, from this space current. Drop another Bouyee, and then pull the other Bouyee, out of the space current exactly straight out, so that it doesn't move again. If something does go wrong, we'll be back here at the same time frame. Now, how is the Bouyee on the other side ?", "Spider" answered: "That Bouyee is "OK", It's just outside of the space current. It moved about a foot or two to the left". The Captain said, "Push that Bouyee out so it too does not move again, Then go in". "Spider" did everything the Captain told him to do, and then he started to go into the curved time rift.

    Meanwhile, on the other side of the curved time rift, "Settlement-One" was now in position between the two Bouyees, and was going in at ( 1/4 ) speed. Back on Earth, "Eve" had radioed "Colony-One". "Mars" talked with "Eve" and said, "Hi Eve, guess what this planet is now called ( MARS ), after me. The Captain said that we should name the planets, and the rest of this galaxy after our kind". "Eve" replied, "That's great Mars, From now on I'll call "Earth to Mars", come in Mars." It sounds pretty good too. How's everyone there ?", "Mars" answered: "Everyone is fine here, how is everyone there on "Earth", especially Teresa ?", "Eve" replied, "We're all doing really good here. It's strange that you should ask about "Teresa", she is outside playing with her rocks. There are six of them now. They reproduce slower here on Earth, perhaps it is the gravity, or high oxygen content that slows down their reproduction. "Teresa" also has been playing with her little creature friends, and they are bigger now. When we moved to the Marker three weeks ago, I figured that we weren't going to see the little creatures anymore, since we had left the jungle. But I was wrong. The following morning, there were the little creatures sitting outside the Marker, and waiting for "Teresa" to come out. They are here every morning, and some of them bring things to give to "Teresa". The long necks bring her fruits, that grow high up on trees. It took us one or two days, to gather these fruits, and here the long necks bring "Teresa", a whole tree-load of these fruits, enough for a week's supply. Yet all "Teresa" gives them is her time, and her touches. She feeds them fruit from her hand, into their mouths in small amounts. The long necks, however, can eat more in one bite, than we do in a week. I assume they like the attention from "Teresa". She has cleaned up the wounds on their backs, and placed patches on their wounds. Oh, by the way, "Mars", how is your new wife ?", "Mars" answered, "She's doing fine, and we'll be having a little "Teresa" ourselves. It's good that everyone is doing well. I'm glad you, "Adamus", and especially that "Teresa, seems to be adjusting well with her new friends. As for us, we haven't had any more problems here, since our last incident, even though we have been going out farther and farther. Also, we came across a nest of the creatures that attacked us. They were like in a sleeping state. When we first saw them, we thought we were in sure trouble, but then we noticed that they didn't move. We have set up some sensors around them, so we will know when they go hunting for food. We can then get in the Marker, and seal it up. Also, we have finished planting our trees and crops, and so we don't have to go too far away, from the Marker for food. Well, I have to go now, "Eve". We'll call back tomorrow. Out, over". "Eve" said goodbye to "Mars", and then went outside to look for "Teresa". "Eve" couldn't find "Teresa", so everybody got together to search in all directions, for where "Teresa" and the creatures went. It wasn't hard to follow, the rocks left a trail easy to follow. ( 15 ) people went on the search, and ( 5 ) stayed back to keep watch on the Marker. As they followed the trail they went deeper and deeper into the jungle. They came to a cliff, that "Kappa man" and another search team had been to once before, when they looked for "Cobra man". "Kappa man" looked down and saw "Teresa", two of her rock friends, and her creature friends playing in the water. "Kappa man" asked out loud, "How did they get down there ?, Look around everyone, there's still one big rock, and three little rocks, moving slower than the others do. So everyone looked around, and no one could see how they possibly got down there. Some of the search team went back to where the trail ended, that they were following. "Let's see. We lost the trail here, because it has harder rock deposit". Everyone looked around, and one person yelled, "Look over here. There are scratch marks all over here". Another member of the search team said, "Let's follow this trail. The rocks might have done this". So they followed the trail, and it came to the side of two big mountains. They followed the trail to what they thought was the end, but then they saw a very large cave, with daylight from the outside at the other end. It looked like a tunnel, but yet very roomy in the middle. As they got to the other end, there was a large cliff that leads down to the river. The leader of the search team radioed to "Kappa man" : "Kappa man", come in". "Kappa man" responded, "Go ahead". The search team leader said, "Sir, I have two things to report: first, we found the trail that leads to the river, and I'll send someone back to meet you, at the trail that we followed, secondly, the rocks missing are ( 25 ) feet ahead of us, and they're still heading for the river, Over". "Kappa man" answered, "We're on our way. Thanks, Over". So they all headed back along the trail, and ran into the team member waiting. They went with him to the cave. Then they passed the rocks on the trails, and finally caught up with the rest of the team. They all approached the river bank together, and then "Teresa" saw her Mom. She ran to her all wet from top to bottom, and "Eve" hugged "Teresa". As the rest of the team members touched the water, the other large creatures looked in their direction, but didn't pay too much attention to them, since all of the team, were smaller than their babies. At this time Eve was telling "Teresa", that she can't just go where ever, and whenever she wants. As for the rest of the team, they sat by the water, and watched the large creatures playing, eating, and resting. So the team members rested, and even the rocks that were slow were in the water. Most of the day went by uneventfully, and the mother rock and the three smaller ones, had already got a head start back to the marker. They were about ( 100 ) feet away from the entrance to the cave. Everyone was ready to start back when suddenly, a creature that they encountered when they first arrived, and it came out of the bushes running after the big creatures, and it chased one big creature in particular. They all started to run in the direction it came from, and "Kappa man" remembered what happened to the last creature that went to that spot, so "Kappa man" told everyone to fire at the creature doing the chasing, and they all did. The creature dropped dead after they opened fire on it, and the creature being chased turned to the left real fast, and stopped. Then suddenly a head popped out of the bushes, then another and then they came running toward the team, and everyone left there opened fire, to protect the others that started to run. By this time "Eve", "Teresa", and the other females of the team, along with the rocks and some of the baby creatures, should be by the cave, and they ran up the cliff with the two big creatures behind them. The team fired at the creatures, but missed them as they were running. One person stopped, turned around, and fired three times hitting one creature twice, slowing him down but only for an instant. The second creature swooped down and ate him...., At this moment another member of the team stopped, and got six shots out, hitting the first creature four times, bringing it to the ground. But it got up. The second creature was hit twice, but again swooped down and ate him also. Another member of the team stopped, turned around, and got eight shots off, hitting the second creature three times, and the first creature five times. The first creature died, but the second creature was too close to the team member, when he fired, and he was squashed as the creature passed over him. The team was catching up to the girls, the rocks and "Baby Teresa". The edge of the cliff was on their left, and they had nowhere to go except straight up the cliff. Everyone was now together, at about ( 75 ) feet from the cave's entrance, and once they were in the cave, they knew the large creature can't fit. The creature was ( 50 ) feet from everyone, all bunched up together, about ( 45 ) feet from the entrance, when all of a sudden one person fell down, causing three other people to fall too ! "Eve", "Teresa", and another crew member. One crew member crawled, and fired three shots hitting the creature. The creature went down for a second, then it got up a little shaken, and kept moving forward. "Eve" covered "Teresa" with her body, as they layed there, and "Teresa" was crying. The others made it to the cave. The creature came forward again, swooped down, and ate the other crew member. The creature began to run toward the cave again, "Eve" and "Teresa" were about to get stepped on, when out of nowhere her rocks covered them up. When the creature stepped on them, the rocks had sharp and pointed edges, poking and cutting the creature. He picked up his right foot, throwing himself off balance, and the creature rolled off the ( 100 ) foot cliff. For the creature this was a small fall, so it got back up. "Eve", "Teresa", and her rocks got inside the cave. The creature started to climb back up. If it makes it back up, it could go over the small hill, and wait anywhere on the other side, to pick off the team members before they made it to the Marker. The creature climbed back on the cliff and looked into the cave. The creature was roaring. The creature then went up and over the top. The team knew they couldn't sit in the cave forever, and they needed to plan what route to take. "Kappa man" started to make a plan and was concerned with the rest of the team's safety. He had just lost four brave men, who had risked their lives in order to save the others. The thing that bothered him the most, was that the enemy doesn't know to stop when being fired upon. Also, the fact that he had lost four men while retreating, he could not understand. This was an Attack-Type of operation, that they had never trained for, to re-treat, re-group, and attack. That was something he had to do when they got back to the Marker. He thought to himself, the creature had not ever been, on the other side of the small mountain for so long. Because all the food it needed was down in that valley, he figured that they had an upperhand. He told the team that two team members would leave, go out ( 100 ) yards, and wait. Then two more members would step out and head for that position, while the earlier two members moved out another ( 100 ) yards. Then they would all go out like that until they made it home. I'll go with the women and children in the middle team", "Kappa man" told "Teresa", "Sweetheart, tell your creature friends to go home. We don't want them to get hurt. Can you do that for me, Sweetheart ?", "Teresa" looked at her creature friends, and without saying a word they turned around, and started walking away down the cliff edge, all except for a flying creature. "Kappa man" asked "Teresa", "Why doesn't the flying creature leave ?", "Teresa" answered, "He wants to help me get home". "Kappa man" replied, "Tell him he's too little, but thank you anyway". "Teresa" answered, "He wants to stay". "Kappa man" turned around, and told the first two men to go. Then the next two, and then the next two. He then said, "O.K"., it's our turn now. Is everyone ready ?, Let's go". So "Kappa man" and the rest of the group, ran to the first position, and waited until it was cleared by the team in front of them. Then "Kappa man" and his group, moved to the second position. Now there was one team behind them, and one team still in the cave, so they kept moving like this for a half a mile. The sun was now starting to go down. It would be dark in about two hours, so they had to make it back to the Marker before dark. Now the second team from the rear, noticed something move on the left side about ( 30 ) yards. He gave two clicks on his radio, and everyone stopped. One member of that team crept over cautiously to take a look. He noticed a big item in the bushes, and saw it was the creature. It opened its eyelid, and was about five feet away from him. He clicked his radio three times, to let everyone know that the creature was there. He stood very still. The eye just kept peering at him through the bushes. He was getting ready to run, he pull out his gun, and fired at the same time. He clicked his radio and yelled, "Run". He fired his gun and ran three steps, when the creature's head came over the bushes really quickly, to snatch the guy up and eat him. Everyone started running again. The creature ran after them. "Teresa's" flying friend was running, hopping, flapping its wings, and doing a lot of bird yells. But it was too young, and his mother had not shown him how to fly. Yet he was running and flapping pretty good, to keep up with all the team. The team behind us had caught up, and was firing at the same time. Now it was time to show the creature who we were. The three teams in front stopped, and took position, and they started to fire as we passed by running. They hit the creature twice, but it changed its routine. It jumped to the right and kept on running behind "Kappa man" and his group. The little flying creature some how took flight, headed toward the big creature, and kept getting in its face, to temporarily get his attention. The creature stopped, and tried to chomp on the little flying creature, but that was a big mistake. In the distance were four very large flying creatures, like the one flying around the creature. All that yelling the little flying creature did was to all for help. One of the flying creatures swooped down, and grabbed the back of the big creature's neck. At the same time it would come down, with its beak and tear the flesh off. Another flying creature did the same, and then another. The big creature started fighting for its life and tried to run, but to no avail. The creature died, and the flying creatures kept eating away. We all started walking back to the Marker. About ( 200 ) yards from the Marker, "Teresa's" flying friend was coming in for a landing, and feet Go down, here he comes. ( Run, Run, Trip, Fall, Roll, Roll, Roll, and Stop !) "Well what were we expecting ?, He's just learned to fly. He still needs practice", said "Kappa man" to "Teresa", "and thank the little flying creature for me". "Teresa" did. While heading home, they suddenly saw the large flying creatures around them. One landed at the tip of the Marker. We thought that we were going to be eaten next. Then the one on top of the Marker gave a very loud roaring yell, took flight and landed right in front of us. It swooped down with its beak, grabbed her little one, and then flew away. That was very close, everyone thought to themselves.

    They went in the Marker, and had a memorial service for the five brave crew members, that died in the battle for control of this hostile planet. Even if one doesn't like to fight and kill, they had to here. After services, "Eve" called Mars, and told him what happened, and that they had only ( 15 ) crew members here on Earth. "Mars" told "Eve" that they had ( 16 ) members on Mars, and for "Eve" to count "Teresa" as one. So Earth had ( 16 ). "Eve" told "Mars" that he was right, he forgot to count "Eve". Then they said goodbye. They continued with their regular work around the Marker, on both planets. One of the regular monthly routines, was to do inventory. Now "Jauslin" started to check every package, box, and crate. She noticed for the second time, a crate that had "Cobra Man" written on it. He was the first person who died on Earth, and they were going to send the crate back, when the next ship comes. "Jauslin" was curious about its contents, because "Cobra Man" never once asked for this crate. So "Jauslin" opened the crate, and was shocked at what she saw. She right away called "Kappa man" on the radio, "Kappa man" come to the sixth floor storage room right away". "Kappa man" answered, "I’m on my way". When he arrived, he too could not believe what he was seeing. It was a "Cloning Machine", something that had been outlawed, almost ( 100,000 ) years back in their Home Planet. The Cloning Machine could clone umans, animals, and even insects. By the looks of it, there were DNA samples frozen, of all kinds of umans, animals and insect species. The power source of the frozen samples, was not familiar to "Kappa man", or "Jauslin". "Well what do you think ?", "Jauslin" asked. "Kappa man" was silent for a moment. "Hmmm, now what could "Cobra man" have been into ?, I've known the man all my life, and I never heard him talk about this at all. Now I left another crate like this on Mars, so we'll call Mars, and find out what's in it, and find out what's in "Cobra man's" computer file, in the landing craft. We'll see if there were any plans, to do anything with the Cloning Machine good or bad". So "Kappa man" and "Jauslin", went on the way to the radio to call Mars. This gave him a chance to talk to her. "Jauslin, hold on for a moment. I want to tell you something. I know that I've been around you for only a year, but in that time I've fallen in love with you. I know you might think this is all of a sudden, since we were asleep most of the year, but to tell you the truth, I would stand there and watch you sleep, and then...", "Jauslin" hugged and kissed him for a minute, then she answered. "I'm in love with you too, "Kappa man". I've also stood there watching you while you slept, when I was on watch, and I felt like waking you up". "Kappa man" asked, "Will you be my wife ?", "Jauslin" answered, "Yes", and she kissed him for a longer period of time. Then they went to the radio and called Mars. When "Mars" answered, "Kappa man" told Mars, "Mars, we found a crate here on "Earth" with "Cobra man's" name on it, and inside was a cloning machine. I left another crate with his name. Find out what's in it". "Mars" answered, "Will do, and if it is a cloning machine, what do I do with it ?", "Kappa man" answered, "I'm going to check the mission files, to find out what is in "Cobra man's" computer in the landing craft. I'm also going to check on everyone that's left on Mars and Earth ( their personnel records ). I don't think he was working on this alone. I'll get back to you as soon, as I look at everything Out, Over". So "Kappa man" and "Jauslin", went to the area where the landing craft was hidden, and they activated its power source. Everything came on. They sat at the computer station and started typing. They looked at the mission records and found nothing out of the ordinary, so they checked the personnel records. The first one "Kappa man" looked at was "Cobra man's" file. It came up on the screen with the usual data ( Photo, name, rank, specialty and code number ). "Kappa man" typed some other terms words on the computer, and the response was: "This is a security section. Level ( 8 )security code needed". "Kappa man" thought to himself, Is that all ?, As he had worked on many projects, he had a level: ( 9 ) security code. Even the Captain only had a level: ( 8 ) security code, and only the elders had a level: ( 10 security code ). "Kappa man" typed in his security code, and pages upon pages zipped on the screen. He clicked back to the first page, and then he clicked through all the pages until he got to page (# 2000 ). It Reads, "Cloning Procedures for "Cobra man", & "Hercules". The rest explained why these two men were, to run Operation Cloning. There wasn't much to look at, but they could have some questions answered, as "Hercules" was one of the crew members on Mars. However, "Kappa man" was still curious, so he went back to the main menu of the computer, and click on Logs. He found nothing, then he clicked on Mission, and only saw things about what he already knew. He looked at everything except Security, since he thought he knew everything in regards to security, and since he was in charge of the security team. Then he figured what the heck, perhaps he didn't know everything, so he clicked on Security, and the usual menu came up. He clicked on all the items and saw nothing unusual. Then he thought he would click on National Security. The menu's subtitles reads, "Home World, Neighboring World, Alien World, & New World". He clicked on "New World", and there were two pages of data regarding procedures, and on the second page there was a word in capital letters, and in a different color. "Kappa man" clicked on it. The word was "Defense", and a page came on the screen explaining almost everything in detail. On the page there was another area highlighted in bold letters, "Operation Colonize and Defense". He clicked on it but it asked for a level: ( 10 code ). That caught "Kappa man" by surprise because only the elders had a level: ( 10 code ). However, an elder would never be out on an Exploration ship in Deep Space. He then thought to himself, "Cobra man" or "Hercules", must have a level: ( 10 code ). "Kappa man" told "Jauslin", to call Mars on the radio from the landing craft. "Earth to Mars, come in Mars, Over". "Mars" answered, "This is Mars. "Jauslin" is that you ?, Over". "Jauslin" answered, "Yes, it's me. How are you ?", "Mars" replied, "We're "OK". I want you to know that "Eden and I", are here together now, Over". "Jauslin" replied, "That's good news.
